This Whitefriars Knobbly Bowl is a fine example of British mid-century glassmaking. Designed by William Wilson and Harry Dyer, the bowl belongs to the celebrated “Knobbly” range, created using an S-shaped tool to pull and shape molten glass into organic contours. The result is a highly tactile, decorative form that captures the essence of 1960s design.

Distinctive Style and Colour

Produced in heavy lead crystal, this Whitefriars Knobbly Bowl features streaks of rich chocolate brown running through clear glass. The swirling pattern enhances the knobbly surface, giving the bowl depth and individuality. Every piece from this range was hand-finished, ensuring that no two are ever exactly alike.

Condition and Authenticity

The bowl measures 14cm in diameter and 5cm in height. It remains in great vintage condition with no chips or cracks.
