We’re delighted to announce that the Antiques & Homes Etsy shop is now up and running, bringing a carefully chosen selection of antiques, vintage treasures, collectables and interesting decorative objects to customers throughout the UK.
For those who already know our little antiques shop in Blofield, Norfolk, this is another way to discover what we do. And for those who haven’t yet visited us, it’s an opportunity to browse some of our finds from the comfort of home.
A New Chapter for Antiques & Homes on Etsy
Although we’ve had an Etsy presence since 2019, we’ve recently revived the shop, refreshed its appearance and started adding an interesting assortment of stock.
The idea is straightforward: to offer a selection of the sort of objects we’ve enjoyed finding, researching, buying and selling for many years.
We’re not trying to build an online department store. Quite the opposite. The pleasure of Antiques & Homes has always been its eclectic character, and that’s exactly what we want our Etsy shop to reflect.
Our shop motto sums it up rather nicely:
Old Things. Interesting Things. Beautiful Things.
What Will You Find in Our Etsy Shop?
Expect variety. We enjoy British studio pottery, decorative glass, vintage ceramics, collectable paperweights and unusual objects, but we’re equally happy to offer something that doesn’t fit neatly into any particular category.
Our selection includes:
- Antique and vintage ceramics, including studio pottery.
- Art glass, decorative glassware and collectable paperweights.
- Interesting objects for the home, both old and modern.
- Vintage accessories, jewellery and small collectables.
- Unusual finds that deserve a second look.
Some pieces will appeal to established collectors, while others are simply attractive, well-designed or unusual objects that would look wonderful in a home.
And because much of what we sell is individual or difficult to replace, the selection will change regularly. Once something has sold, there’s no guarantee we’ll find another.

Carefully Described, Honestly Presented
Buying antiques and vintage objects online requires a little more confidence than purchasing something brand new. Age, wear, repairs, marks and manufacturing variations can all affect an object’s appearance and desirability.
That’s why we aim to provide clear photographs, useful measurements and straightforward condition descriptions for our Etsy listings.
We also take identification seriously. Where we can confidently identify a maker, period or origin, we’ll say so. Where an attribution is uncertain, we’d rather explain that than present an educated guess as an established fact.
It’s the same practical approach we’ve always tried to bring to our antiques business.
Our Norfolk Antiques Shop Is Still at the Heart of What We Do
Of course, our Etsy shop isn’t replacing our physical shop. Far from it.
Antiques & Homes in Blofield, Norfolk, remains an important part of the business, with its own ever-changing selection of antiques, vintage pieces, collectables and decorative objects.
There’s nothing quite like seeing an object in person, examining its craftsmanship, appreciating its weight and texture or discovering something unexpected while browsing.
Our shop has even been described on television as “small but perfectly formed”, which seems a fitting description for a place where the stock is deliberately varied and there’s usually something interesting tucked away.
We’ll continue buying and selling through the physical shop, while Etsy gives us another way to offer selected pieces to customers who live further afield.
If you’re in Norfolk, you’re always welcome to visit us in Blofield. Please check our latest opening announcements before travelling.
And There’s Still Our Antiques & Homes Magazine
Alongside the shops, our website remains home to the Antiques & Homes magazine, where we share practical collecting advice, identification guides and articles exploring the fascinating world of antiques and vintage objects.
For example, readers interested in decorative glass can explore our guide to identifying Empoli glass, while those who enjoy collecting paperweights can discover more about collecting Scottish paperweights.
The magazine isn’t becoming a sales catalogue. We’ll continue publishing useful, interesting articles in their own right, while Etsy provides a dedicated place for customers who want to see what we currently have for sale online.
Come and Explore Antiques & Homes on Etsy
Whether you’re a collector searching for something particular, looking for an unusual gift or simply enjoy browsing interesting old things, we hope you’ll enjoy visiting our revived Etsy shop.
New pieces will be added as we find them, so it’s worth calling back occasionally to see what’s arrived.
And to everyone who has supported Antiques & Homes over the years, whether by visiting the shop, reading the magazine or purchasing something from us, thank you. We hope you’ll enjoy this latest addition to the business.
